فریمورک Yii، یک فریمورک مبتنی بر PHP است که بر محور الگوهای ترکیبی Model-View-Controller ساخته شده است. این فریورک برای ساخت برنامه‌های کنسولی و هم برنامه‌های تحت وب مناسب است، ولی امکاناتی که در اختیار می‌گذارد آن را برای ساخت برنامه‌های مبتنی بر وب مناسب کرده است.
